Here I am, back again with some more of my finds and favorites for this month. With fall (ever so slowly) creeping in, I’ve been thinking a lot about cold weather, and wishing it would arrive in the south sometime soon. As per usual, I don’t like recommending overpriced items to my readers. If it’s not something I can afford to buy, why would I expect you to? Continue reading “September Finds & Faves”
Ok, it’s about to get real honest up in here for a second, so buckle your seatbelts and hang on for dear life. Today, I’m talking about the dreaded, green eyed jealousy monster, the perfectly framed, the ever clean, the just-enough-throw-pillows-to-look-like-a-cloud, the Pinterest Perfect House. Have you ever been so lazy that instead of getting up, putting on pants, and going to the store like a regular person, you just made your own bread? No? Me neither. Continue reading “Simple Artisan Bread Recipe”
I’m beginning to wonder if each house we live in should get a name rather than a number. House #1 was a series of bad-decision-trailers that leaked, lacked AC, and had way to much hidden mold (the trailers have thus been named Squib and Honkey). House #2 was our duplex in Michigan, located next to the “Doggy Styles” pet boarding and grooming business that kept us up at night and woke us up too early on Saturday mornings with incessant barking. House #2 has been given the title Chateau Levrette. This week, we officially moved into House #3, an apartment in Columbia, medium in size with a pool and a fitness center. No name yet for the new apartment, but I’m sure we’ll come up with one as soon as we learn all of its quirks. Continue reading “The Reinhard Chronicles: House #3”
One of the best parts about working at a camp is that it allows you to meet some pretty amazing and creative people. It’s the people that keep you coming back year after year, and those relationships and time spent laughing, with all your inside jokes and late night discussions, are what keep you all the way until the following summer. Oh my goodness.
August has been a roller coaster of emotional highs and lows that have kept me stressed-out and exhausted. My work laptop decided to quit on me, which also meant no blog posts or photo editing or graphic design. I was temporarily relocated to the kitchen for a week and din’t step one foot near a computer for that week. I lost my bullet journal for a little bit in there too, so I felt even more disorganized. On top of all of this, on top of all my looming depression and my impending loss of sanity, there was something else this month that topped all the other stressful things in my life.
We are moving! Continue reading “The Reinhard Chronicles: Next Steps”
