Wearing A Bikini and Why It’s A Big Step
This year I made a decision. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time, and it’s taken a lot of courage to finally get here. But this summer, I made that decision. I took Allan with me, and went out to buy my very first bikini.

Making Friends as an Adult
Life is hard. Grown-up life is even harder. There are jobs to go to, bills and taxes to pay, and don’t even get me started on all the laundry. But one of the hardest things to do as an adult is make friends.

Reflections on Project 333
It’s been a month now, which was my original goal, and that has given me a chance to decide if Project 333 or capsule wardrobes are something I want to continue or not. If you didn’t already know, last month I chose 33 items out of my closet, and participated in the Project 333 challenge. I had to live with just those 33 items for a month. Check out more in my original post here. At the start of this project I was really optimistic about my newfound clothing choices. But now my month is up, and I’m ready to go back to my normal sized closet.

In Response…”Where Is Home?”
Many of you may know that I grew up in Sarajevo, Bosnia, halfway across the world from where I live now, and that my parents still travel the world as missionaries. Recently, my mom posted their newest newsletter, a post to keep family, friends, and supporters updated with their newest transition back to Sarajevo. In her newsletter, my mom asked a question: “Where IS home?”

Project 333
I’ve always had a problem with clothes. Over-stuffed closets and too much laundry. I love clothes and fun outfits, but I’m not very good at keeping everything organized. I already circulate my closet every six months between Spring and Autumn. Even with cycling clothes in and out of my closet I still end up with too much stuff. Yet I still feel overwhelmed when choosing something to wear, and suck at keeping my floor free of dirty laundry.
And so, Project 333 – Reinhard Edition.

The Life of the Ren Faire
Last November, Cheshire and I went to our first Renaissance Faire with our friends, Reese and Lydia. It was only until this last week that I remembered the hundred of photos I’d taken, and more importantly, that I hadn’t shared any yet. And so if you will, allow me to rectify the situation.

Almond Shortbread Thumbprint Cookies
“I’m really feeling shortbread.”
“What?” I glanced up at Allan, standing absent mindedly in front of the pantry.
“I’m really feeling shortbread. Like either buying some or making some or something.”
“I can make you shortbread.” I said, turning my head back to my laptop and pulling open the ever glorious Pinterest. “What kind do you want?”
“Those.” Allan gestured to the thumbprint cookie recipe with a perfect photo and even more perfect glaze crisscrossed over the cookies.

Places of Peace
I’ve been thinking a lot this week about peace. More specifically about places of peace in my home, where I feel at ease and calm, and more importantly, where I can breathe. I’ve started to contemplate having a home that is a sanctuary amidst chaos and the every day roller coaster of life.

A New Cosplay Mashup!
Hey guys! So I’m super crazy excited to announce that I’m working on a little cosplay mashup! If you were paying attention around Halloween, you may have noticed that I did a little genderbend cosplay as Hades from Disney’s “Hercules”. I cannot believe how well it turned out, or the amount of compliments I got on the look. It made me quickly realize how much I loved cosplay and that I wanted to do it more often, not just for Halloween.

Creating Daily Routines
For March, I’m trying to be more intentional. Intentional with my friendships, intentional with eating better, intentional with my body and habits. Part of this is being intentional with my day; being productive, knocking out easy every day tasks, and feeling more positive about our house and (especially) a clean kitchen.
