I’m beginning to wonder if each house we live in should get a name rather than a number. House #1 was a series of bad-decision-trailers that leaked, lacked AC, and had way to much hidden mold (the trailers have thus been named Squib and Honkey). House #2 was our duplex in Michigan, located next to the “Doggy Styles” pet boarding and grooming business that kept us up at night and woke us up too early on Saturday mornings with incessant barking. House #2 has been given the title Chateau Levrette. This week, we officially moved into House #3, an apartment in Columbia, medium in size with a pool and a fitness center. No name yet for the new apartment, but I’m sure we’ll come up with one as soon as we learn all of its quirks. Continue reading “The Reinhard Chronicles: House #3”
Oh my goodness.
August has been a roller coaster of emotional highs and lows that have kept me stressed-out and exhausted. My work laptop decided to quit on me, which also meant no blog posts or photo editing or graphic design. I was temporarily relocated to the kitchen for a week and din’t step one foot near a computer for that week. I lost my bullet journal for a little bit in there too, so I felt even more disorganized. On top of all of this, on top of all my looming depression and my impending loss of sanity, there was something else this month that topped all the other stressful things in my life.
We are moving! Continue reading “The Reinhard Chronicles: Next Steps”
Sometimes my own ability to do impossible things astounds me. The fact that I can totally make microwave popcorn on the stove, is beyond amazing. Living a microwave-less lifestyle for the past 10 months hasn’t made me a better person or given me hippie green visions of enlightenment. But life without a microwave has certainly made me more aware of how freaking long it takes to boil stuff on the stove! Continue reading “The Reinhard Chronicles: Life Without a Microwave”
I think the title says it all, but this past weekend, Chesh and I celebrated our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Talk about big deal stuff!! We went to Traverse City, MI to re-assert ourselves into civilization, and use up some gift cards we’ve been hoarding for a year. Continue reading “The Reinhard Chronicles: One Year Anniversary”
Last week, Chesh and I took off work and my parents drove all the way from Atlanta, Georgia to the Upper Peninsula for my birthday. Luke and Lydia were out of school, and it seemed like the perfect time for them to come up and see us. Continue reading “The Reinhard Chronicles: My Birthday Week”
“So Valentines is coming up.”
I glanced up from my phone to look at Chesh.
“Yeah it is.”
“Are we…doing something?” Continue reading “Be Mine, Valentine?”
