My Ipsy Glam Bag arrived!!! Seeing that pink packaging in my mailbox gives me the best kind of goosebumps!

Ipsy is a great beauty subscription box (only $10 a month) that brings you new full size products each month, depending on your preferences in color and the type of product. Every month you get a new bag with a new set of 5 beauty products to try out and review, earning you points and gaining discounts for future items. One cool thing about Ipsy beauty bags are that I may not receive the same products that you receive in a given month. Each bag is tailored to the kind of products you request and regularly use. Here’s my February review.

The Bag

I LOVE THIS BAG. OHMYHEAVENLYGOODNESS. As most of you know, March 8 is National Women’s Day, and a great opportunity to recognize the amazing women in our lives, community, and world that have a profound impact. The March bag completely and utterly embodies this. I also love that it’s a coloring page styled design, including two colored markers to artsify up your bag. LOOOOOOVE!

MEG COSMETICS, Good Night PM Mask

Had a long day? Sometimes your skin needs a nightcap, too. This sheet mask helps nourish and revitalize your skin before bed, so you look bright and fresh in the AM. One thing I love about this mask is that it has avocado extract that keeps your skin firm (sans saggy) and camellia sinensis leaf water to improve the elasticity (and overall healthiness) of your skin. It’s also super hydrating without leaving a nasty greasy feeling. So cooling, and absolutely relaxing.

DIRTY LITTLE SECRET COSMETICS, Baked Highlighter in Prosecco

Here’s a fun fact: Baked highlighters start off as liquids or creams, and are slowly dried in special ovens. The result? They become ultra-pigmented and can be worn wet or dry. This highlighter feels so soft! It’s like petting a kitten. And surprise, surprise, is cruelty-free, so no animal testing. Meow! I received this in the color Prosecco, which is kind of mauve colored with a bit of a shimmer added. It makes me look so dang gooood!

DOUCCE, Freematic Eyeshadow Mono in Lola

Eyeshadow might be one of my favorite beauty products, mostly because I love spicing up the color on my face. When applied dry it shows off this hint of plum color for a light coloration. Put it on wet, and suddenly it’s a whole new ball game. It become ultra-pigmented for a much bolder look. I received this in the color Lola which is this gorgeous purple (great for hazel or green eyes).

TARTE COSMETICS, Sex Kitten Eyeliner

I had received a liquid liner in my bag last time, so I was a little disappointed to find liner again in this one. It is really nice though (a little smaller than expected) with a creamy easy-go-on texture with a nice tip for wings. It’s also waterproof (which is super important for those of us who have a lot going on throughout the day and need something that won’t wear off quickly.)

SLMISSGLAM, SL41 Blusher Brush

Such a pretty brush! I love the shiny handle (reminds me of mermaids and unicorns). The bristles are so soft, like a kitten stroking your face. Also, you can use this brush to do all kinds of things…

3 Different Ways to Use This Brush

  1. To blush up: Using this fluffy brush, apply blush in a swirling motion from the apples of your cheeks towards your temples.
  2. To get glowing: Dip the brush into powder highlighter, then sweep along your cheekbones.
  3. To shape and sculpt: Suck in your cheeks and apply a medium contour shade in the hollows of your cheekbones. Be sure to blend it all the way into your hairline for a natural-looking result.

As for the full value, drummroll please! This bag has a value of about $59. For only paying $10 for the subscription, you definitely get more for what you pay for! All in all, I loved this bag. Such nice products and bag, although I’m especially loving the masks, highlighter, and brush.
